[Po4a-devel] Can po4a be used to translate SRT video subtitle files?

Hi. I've recently become involved with video subtitling, and it occured to me that it would be useful if .po files could be used for this work. The format is described in <URL:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SubRip> and some examples can be found on <URL:http://cleanternet.org/>;. My idea is to use the English subtitle file as the original, and translate it using .po files to get a translated subtitle file. I looked at po4a, but did not find any SRT support in it.
