The only way I see to fix it with your version is to use
\\N'63' instead
of ? in the po.
"?" is OK. And I try "B<'?'>".
last line of ja.po:
msgstr "01234B<'\\N'63''>56789"
I expected:
01234\fB'\N'63''\fP56789
result:
01234\fB'\N'63\*(rq\fP56789
Is it correct?
