Hi there,
sorry for being so unresponsive, I don't have much time for po4a these days.
I'm glad that you wrote this code in the first place, even if I didn't check it at
all. As for your question, your code does not need to be GPLed because you are not mixing
your code with ours. You are just invoking a self-contained tool from another
self-contained tool. I think that the frontier of GPL contamination is really on the code
mixup.
Now, I'm not sure of what to do with your announcement. If you release your code under
a free license, we could add a mention of it in the po4a(7) manpage or something maybe? Do
you have another idea?
Bye, Mt.

Objet: [Po4a-devel] PHP wrapper around po4a
Hi there!
I have created a simple PHP class that can be used as a wrapper around po4a.
It allows you to run a build directly from a PHP app, without having to create a config
file (the wrapper creates it based on the supplied parameters).
Here's an example:
https://gist.github.com/1084693
It may seem too much trouble instead of just using a config file and running from the
command line, but in an existing php codebase it was quite useful for me.
source code is available at:
http://github.com/w3p/php-po4a
releases at: pear.w3p.com.br
I just need to ask one thing: since po4a is GPL, even a wrapper around it must be GPL too?
